There isn';t a whole lot you can do. Chances are they are set in their ways as a result of their own upbringing.

Stand up for yourself when you can, and work hard in school so that you can get the heck away from them and build a life on your own- with or without their support. Follow your passions, even if your parents disapprove. It won't be easy, but you will have a richer, fuller life later on if you do what you need to now and don't give in or give up.

Good luck!

Ignore them. Just let them be whatever they want to be. Be the woman you are. This is a different world and they must accept that. Of course, I"m assuming that you are still quite young and are living in their house under their control. You'll have to deal with their rules, at least until you gain more independence.

Hope this helps!

There really is no help. Try explaing your problem to your parents, sometimes they just don't realize whats going on. Growing up my brothers got to do a lot of things my sisters and I didn't, because it wasn't safe for girls.... Sometimes, it just sucks to be a girl....
