Because we are seen as a soft country handing out houses and benefits like sweets.
Technically they should be put straight back on a boat / plane to their origin as they did not claim asylumm in the first safe country.
Above is what international law says
YOU SHOULD APPLY FOR ASYLUM IN THE 1st SAFE COUNTRY YOU ENTER
Not so long ago if they where caught getting of the Ferries in Dover they where put back on with ESCORTS then taken BACK TO FRANCE
to claim asylum.
That is the REASON France want the LAW CHANGED to allow them to come to ENGLAND
FRANCE ENCOURAGES THEM and stands by while they do it
France have said once they have been given asylum they should be allowed to settle in any EURO country they want to.
In other words FRANCE KNOWS if this is allowed ,
No other EU state will have asylum seekers as they will ALL HEAD STRAIGHT TO ENGLAND

They are not allowed to stay in the other countries due to their strict immigration laws.
Whereas Good old Britain just open the doors and let them in to use British Tax Payers money on their benefits and council houses, places for all their kids and beds in our hospitals and what do we get - people born and bred in this country can't get an operation, can't get a flat/house, have to go through hell to get benefits, need I go on.
Let's be honest it's aboout time we got a bit selfish and said NO occasionally. We should be checking them all out thoroughly before "losing" them in this country. Did we not learn anything from 7/7 attacks - and they were people living here for sometime, not asylum seekers !!

They take advantage of our benefit system and if they want to still worship their religion why dont they go to the nearest Islamic country.It wont matter soon anyway because when our troops pull out they will be going back to their own countries.

this is all rubbish BNP spin, Iran takes in more refugees than we do. We only take something like 2% of europes total number. The right wing press want you to believe otherwise, dont believe the hype

Well, people have this idea that UK is so great but once they get there, they realize its not so great. Political refugees get special treatment overthere more than the neighboring countries...

i agree social security and other benefits. my hubby was made redundant and had to tell the social all the in and outs of a ducks **** before he could get anything of them, and he's british and worked all his life in this country,it make s me soooooo mad.
