HI Ask R - Coke is better, by a mile. It has a more distinctive taste and has a long history, starting out as a "stomach settler" sold by pharmacists back in the day.
We can thank Georgia pharmacist John Stith Pemberton for coming up with the formula - although its name left a lot to be desired. He called it "Pemberton's French Wine Cola in 1884". A year later, he came up with a non-alcoholic version and called it Cocoa-Cola (because it included cocoa leaves from South America and was flavored with kola nuts). The rest, as they say, is history.
