I dont want to be rude but think of how you would feel if you had a mouthful of rotten teeth? Make a descision.

how old is the cat? 10+ years - sometimes too old to be sedated to have them cleaned and pulled sometimes.
$80 for the cleaning, costs more to have teeth extracted though... i think my mom just had the dog done 2 teeth pulled and one cavity i think and it was around $250 which is about right.
it's an all day thing.
he's a different dog now though playing and running around, much healthier.
call a few other vets and get some pricing over the phone. you will need to provide the number for the old vet so they can verify their vaccinations though BEFORE the scheduled visit.
people do not realize how much the teeth can affect a pet. can also cause other problems in the body because of the bacteria when they are bad teeth. if your pet has fowl breath he's either eating bad or has an infected mouth. when they get really bad though it can affect the internal organs of the pet.
try antibiotics if your pet is very old and can not have any procedures. it wil help with the infection. you may see some improvement. We had to do this with our dog corky - he was very old and could not be sedated for any procedures. Sometimes the sedation could kill the animal at that age!!
My vet always says to give baby food when the stomach is bothering them - very easy on digestion, it's also soft for the teeth.

If the vet won't take the teeth out, there must be a reason. You could try a different vet, but I would imagine a round of antibiotics would help matters. You can put her down yourself with chloroform, but it is a horrible experience.

I need more information. Ripping you off how? What are you asking?
The vet has to do what you say. He can't just decide on his own. He can refuse to treat the cat, and if you both disagree on how to treat the cat, you should find another vet.
Why do you want the cat euthanized if pulling the teeth is all that is needed?
Don't attempt to do it yourself, you will do more harm than good.

if the vet you are currently going to do isnt providing service that you are satisfied with, then i would find another vet. putting your cat down because of her teeth should not even be an option suggested by any decent vet.

See a different vet. Until then, only give your cat softer food. My cat lost her back teeth, that's what my vet suggested. If it's painful to the cat, have them removed.

For goodness sakes, find another vet! No need to put the cat down...kitty teeth *can* be removed.

He is not trying to rip you off but to tell you the truth. Without their teeth cats can not eat or defend themselves. It is not fair to them. You cats has had a full life and it is not at its end. Is it not better to let it go into a deep peaceful sleep and dream of a land full of tasty mice, sweet catnip and balls of yarn?
