Yes you just format the partition on the one you want to get rid of. Don't forget to edit your boot.ini file on the other partition so you don't get prompted about dual boot options at start up.

You should uninstall home if you actually own Professional Version. Professional Version of XP is much better than Home Edition. There's much more diversification compared to Home, just because of many more of the options.

I'm not sure how to answer the question but if I'm correct I believe you have to redo all of your hard drive to get it off. You have to delete the whole partition.

Why not copy the files you want to save from the Pro partition to the Home one, then erase the Pro partition?

Many drivers for Vista received't artwork for XP or vice versa, some do exactly fantastic. your own records should be fantastic. The filing equipment did not change too a lot with Vista that XP ought to study it. yet i'd allow you to understand to burn all of your own and unreplaceable stuff to DVD or CD, wipe your hardcontinual, and set up to a sparkling HD. you'll have a lot less hassles by technique of a procedures. in case your on a private computer and beginning it up doesn't scare you there is always the alternative of shopping for a sparkling HD and making your modern HD a slave to the recent one. you doesn't ought to burn a ingredient and once you transferred each and everything off of the oldcontinual you should wipe it. or you could make your pc a twin boot pc till your actual particular you pick to ditch Vista for good. be conscious: even as your doing all of your updates you're able to have M$ mail you that wide SP2 replace. it is going to take some weeks, yet when your on dial up it's going to take about an similar era of time.

The easiest way would be to just delete the partition! Then you can reformat the partition and use for additional storage space! If you have additional data files on that partition, just copy them over first...
