Driving with my Mom to the airport to pick up my Dad, during a snow storm.
My Mom told me I was only 18-months old at the time and she can't believe that I remember that, but for some reason I do.

The earliest memory that I have is of my father taking me to bars with him to get drunk. He only did it because I was cute, so the bartenders usually gave him free drinks. The rest of my memories when I was a child simply don't exist. I have fragments of them, but that's it.

Having my tonsils out at 2 1/2. Vividly. I even remember the anasthesiologist's horned rim glasses.

My 2nd birthday party. As a twin, my sister and I grew up talking about things so it's easier to remember. It was in a house that had pale green walls and I got an orange Sesame Street board game.

My mom playing peek-a-boo with me when I was in my crib... also laying in my crib, looking up at 3 relatives.
I remember some of my second birthday party too. My grandfather was holding me and gave me cake. He died that year so it's a neat memory.

Um, I have two.
Number one: I was in my apartment and I flushed a toy sailboat down the toilet then had a bad dream about it the next night.
Number two: I was on a train ride and somebody said something in a hauted voice and scared the heck out of me.

i can remember my grandmother's house. it was wood with a tin roof. no running water, and an outhouse. let's see i was around 3 or 4. i can remember that she had chickens in the yard and a wood burning stove. that was in 76' or 77'. i can still smell the biscuits cooking and the cold draft from the wood floors. i love my grandma.
