I pray to know truth and then study and ponder. I try to let God guide me in my search. I believe in God, and that makes me believe that there is one truth. I don't believe that God is contradictory. There is only one truth, not one for every person.

Pray is a number one priority and it should be for everyone. The truth will make us free. The truth can be circumscribed as a whole.

I do.
Circumcision is a sign, external, that you were a member of a body of people. Given in the Old testament.
The old testament was based on externals.
Temple worship.
It is the circumcision of the heart ( spirit ) internal that counts.
It can't be seen, it is of the spirit.
This is done by God Himself.
The New Testament is based on internals, of the spirit.
TO WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.
Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Phil 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
So where is the Truth? It is in the Bible.
The Bible is the platform from which to operate.
If you choose a religion, what do you have? You have the religion. If you choose what a church says, what do you have? You have what the church says. If they lie, then you have lies.
The Book however doesn't change, you can go back to it and read the same thing day after day. The Truth.

Odd you should ask. I try to do exactly that each night before I go to sleep.
Yes to the second part of your question.
Sounds as though you are ready to go on to graduate school from the nature of your question.
I suggest that you get a copy of a book called the course in miracles. It explaines the concepts you are speaking of in far greater detail than any religous belief system.
This is advanced stuff not for the casual dabbler. Sounds like you could probably understand it real well. I have been studying it for around 7 years. Yes it's that deep.
Keep seeking
Love and blessings.

Yes, I pray to know the truth & I receive truth when I pray for it.
There is only one Truth, but billions of perceptions of that truth. Its important to question, to feel and to pursue what is real & to make an effort to find what makes sense in the deepest way.
What we think we believe doesn't matter. What we expereince and know from within matters.

Yes, I prayed to know the truth, and I have known it for 37 years now.
The Bible says in Romans 1 verse 18 - 20 "But God shows His anger from Heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and the sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities-His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.

If you want the truth, don't pray, but read a science book.

Yes.
John 18:37 has Jesus saying his purpose in coming to earth was "to bear witness to the truth."
If he wasn't lying then truth is to be found in his teachings.
Jesus pointed us in the right direction when saying: "Your Word is truth." ....meaning the bible.
Apparently it is possible to understand it, since he added: "...you will know the truth."
John 8:32.
So, that's start.
