Not really. What most people dont know is that one of ketchup's most leading ingrediant is sugar. It has nearly 50% sugar. In that regard i wouldnt call it the most healthy of food items.
The reason most kids like it so much is because of the sugar. I would try to limit the consumption as much as you can, or you can try tomato sauce instead. That should have lesser sugar. Check the label, the ingredients listed first are the ones that make up most of the item. So look for something where sugar is more towards the end.

No - in fact recent research has found that most forms of cooked tomato, especially sauce and ketchup, contains chemicals which protect against all sorts of nasty diseases including some forms of cancer.
Eating it 4 days a week is fine - although it depends what they're eating it with (fried and fatty food with ketchup on is not good for you - ketchup won't do much protecting against obesity and heart attacks, etc etc)
As far as choosing... pick the one with the fewest additives and preservatives (and the least sugar and salt).

Ketcup and tomato sauce can be VERY high in salt. There are low salt tomato sauces available, but I'm not sure about ketchup. Check the amount, and compare that to the daily recommended allowance. Otherwise, tomatoes are pretty good for you.

Definitely the sauce over the ketchup. Although ketchup is one of the condiments low in fat and calories, it has lots of sugar in it, and because it comes in a bottle, it wouldn't be nearly as fresh and healthy as tomato sauce.

It is not bad in moderation. Ketchup does contain a lot of sugar. But tomato's are excellent because they contain lycopene, which research has shown helps to prevent cancer.

SOe brands have a lot of crap in it. Other than that is is pretty good for you. Counts as a Veggie. It is mostly Tomoatoes with a little sugar and salt and some other spices.
You could stick with an organic one to cut out the BS.

If they like ketchup let them have it. Either way is healthy. Tomatoes are chalk full of vitamins.

I think the catsup has more ingredients and salts in it. I wouldn't be concerned either way as it is a lot healthier for you than mayo and tomato is supposed to be good for your heart..
