Yes, a unidentified spider ( I squashed him) bit me on the arm, within a few hours my arm was swollen and really hurting. I went to the emergency room and was really sick by the time I got treatment. The skin around the bite died and the Dr.s cut it out leaving a scar about as big as a quarter.
I am so careful now, and so afraid of those creepy crawlers! Zero tolerance!

I am highly sensitive to spider venom. My bite areas will almost immediately become very hot to the touch. Rather than itching, I've experienced more of an aching sensation. With larger spiders, I have been able to actually see what looks like small fang marks. But I always seem to notice symptoms immediately after being bitten--not days later.
A nurse advised me to keep some meat tenderizer on hand to make a paste with if I can catch spider bites immediately after they occur. I mix a bit of water and make a paste and rub it forcefully into the bite area. Venom is a protein and meat tenderizers are designed to break down protein. It has helped, but you do have to do it very quickly in order to stop the process.

I got bitten by a brown recluse spider - twice - on my thigh. At first I thought they were mosquito bumps so I ignored them until they started getting bigger. By the 2nd day they started to hurt. Now mind you, at that time I didn't *know* I was bitten by a spider, let alone a brown recluse.
Things escalated to the point where my entire leg was stiff with excrusiating pain and I could barely walk and the bite areas had grown to about 2.5 inches in diameter and were red, so I went to the emergency room. That was around midnite. Well, the next morning around 9:30 I started to vomit uncontrollably until my fiance took me to a different emergency room.
Apparently, the venom was starting to really take effect. The hurling went on for many many hours, but they managed to stabelize me enough to send me home later that night. I was given various antibiotics (of which I can't remember the names) but over the course of a couple of weeks, the bite areas had started to shrink. First they turned purple then black. Now they're about skin toned but I can still see them. I didn't have any lingering effects like necrosis. Thank God because apparently, the brown recluse venom is toxic enough to start killing your skin, tissue and muscle. Anyway, that was about 4 months ago and I'm completely fine now.
Good luck to you.

It could be any number of things besides a spider bite, my "official" advice would be to seek medical treatment.
However, if it keeps getting edder and had two tiny puncture marks it could be a spider. We had a lot of spider in our old apartment near a lake and the used to bite my son and would blister up. I took him the Dr. the first time and was told to give him (Children's) Motrin and either Cortisol or Ivarest as a topical agent and they worked fairly well.
If it looks like your skin is deterioriting quickly..say like a big whole or major inflammation, you may have been bitten by a Brown Recluse spider, which typically lives in hidden environents until disbured (like putting on a boot or sweater you have not worn for months). They can be deadly and spready quickly. If your "bump"spready quickly to a major size or sore, go to ER immediately.

I've never been bitten, but my sister has...it started out looking like a pimple on her leg, but became larger and felt hot to touch. you should go see a doctor...she had to because she found out she is alergic to spider bites and had to have medication
