not all calico cats are female...there is RARELY a male calico. So...it is a myth, but you are very UNlikely to ever come across a male calico.
If you do, the chances of it being a "normal" cat in so many ways is very slim. They tend to be sterile (unable to produce offspring), they don't use litter boxes, and they can be very mean and nasty..

The gene that determines calico coloring is carried on the X chromosome and is resessive. Because a male cat has and X and a Y -- the color information linked to the Y-chromosome usually is dominant.
A male calico occurs when the cat has is XXY instead of XY, and this also renders the cat sterile.

If you ever find a male calico cat you could become very wealthy! There is no such thing as a male calico. ALL calico's are female.

No it is true. In very rare cases a calico will be male but I have never heard of a male one being fertile.
After answering your question I decided to do my own research thinking maybe everything I have ever heard was wrong...I came across a few web sites that are interesting if nothing else...

it extremely is tense to hold close quantum thought because of the fact it has purely in the near previous grow to be public expertise. And pathos because it extremely is a cat and persons to no longer desire to think of of the cat loss of existence interior the field without air. think of of the cat as a pair of entangled atoms that turns into 2 as though the 1st have been cloned,or as a fax gadget tactics archives. the separation does not replace the representation till watching it and purely after stated can it get replaced. That breaks the entanglement, it extremely is a ,important flaw in our information of quantum mechanics and is so a techniques as my constrained expertise can take it.
