Last I knew I had no allergies. I ate a sesame candy bar last night, (nothing out of the ordinary) and my throat swelled, I got hives, my eyes went all bloodshot, and it just wasn't pretty. I took Ibuprofin and Benedryl and 12 hours later my throat still has a uvula the size of a punching bag. How long can this go on if it is an allergy?

Be careful if your uvula is still swollen. Mine swoll up and blocked my air passage to where I couldn't breathe. You should consider seeing a doctor about this immediately.

You need to get off your computer and go to the ER. You may have developed an allergy to nuts

This reaction could take another day to be over... try drinking hot tea, plenty of water, and get plenty of rest.
