Well...i think that you should ask your boyfriend to teach you about hinduism. then, take it a step further and do your own research. after that, you should teach him about catholicism.

how serious are you two? from my experiences (and i have friends from all over the world) inter-faith relationships with hindus rarely ever work. if his family is very traditional and old world then they will oppose to him being with anyone who isn't hindu. and if your boyfriend is very traditional and old world then he would want to please his family with some, but little regard, for you. on the contrary, if the family is liberal and open to people from all backgrounds, then you two might have a better chance.
