We have so far read about semiconductors,transisters,rectifiers, JFET,MOSFET,CRO.If you can suggest me some projects which will be using the basic knowledge of these things then its good

2 proposals:
A) Not so glamorous, but is demonstrates that you understand what electronic components do: Try to design a Flip-Flop (bi-stable multivibrator) with ONLY ONE relay and no semiconductors at all. Hint: Use 3 resistors and one electrolytic capacitor (and a relay, of course).
B) Maybe a bit more practical: Design a DC/DC converter using NO TRANSFORMER, but a chain of capacitors instead.
