only if he is infected with the virus. anal sex doesn't cause aids, it is a way to spread the virus. if neither of you has the virus, you can't get it except from having sex with someone else who has it.

What bother's me most here is that you would think your husband is HIV/AIDS positive. Do you know for fact your husband is POSITIVE? and if you do why would you put your life on the line just to have sexual pleasure with him? Are you yourself POSITIVE? If so why would you put your husbands life on the line just for pleasure?
The only way to contract the VIRUS is by having unprotected sex with someone who is POSITIVE you can't just get AIDS from somewhere or anywhere for that matter.
The Virus is transmitted through BLOOD on BLOOD contact.
As far as catching it Analy or Vaginaly so long as your using protection your at a lower risk but remember CONDOMS are not 100% affective.
So if you know someone is Positive why take the risk?
If your planning on NOT using a condom do yourself and your partner a favour and get tested befor hand you'll be happy because you did trust me.
And you'll have better peace of mind.

Short answer:- You can only get AIDS (or HIV) from someone who has it. If you are getting anal sex from your husband and he has HIV it is much more dangerous than vaginal sex. The safest thing is not to sleep around without condoms.

yes it is possible, but for it to happen, one of you would have to first be a HIV carrier
In other words, as long as neither of you has HIV, booty-rooting itself won't CAUSE aids.
anal sex is much, much more risky than vaginal sex because the cells that line the poop chute aren't as robust as the cells that line the vagina; hence, bursting of some microscopic blood vessels is relatively common in anal sex.
it doesn't have to be a noticeable amount of blood (and ordinarily, it isn't) for the body's defenses to be compromised.
if either or both of you engage in other "high risk" behaviors, you could contract the HIV from another source and transmit it during anal sex.
iirc, it is MUCH more common for the female to be infected by the male than for the male to be infected by the female, regardless the nature of the sexual act used to transmit the virus.

Well that would depend on what you've both been up to, wouldn't it? If you two are both strictly monogamous and have a clean bill of health, ie neither of you has AIDS already, then of course you don't have anything to worry about.
If you aren't sure about that; well yes of course it is possible one of you could transmit it to the other that way.

If neither of you are HIV positive and neither of you run around on each other there is NO WAY you will contract hiv through anal sex or any other kind of sex between the two of you.
