The DaVinci codes are a series of cryptograms/number puzzles/ mysterious verses which are part of the story in the novel, "The DaVinci Code", by Dan Brown. (Like a treasure hunt, solving one leads to the next part of the puzzle.)
"The DaVinci Code" itself is a novel based on the idea -- which is quite old -- that Jesus and Mary of Magdala were married and had at least one child. This is plausible but there is no definite statement in the Bible one way or the other; Brown marshals some old arguments supporting the idea. Trying not to spoil things, there is a group which knows about the descendants of Jesus and wants to protect them, and another group which knows about them and wants to destroy them and all evidence of their existence. The hero and heroine don't know which is the worst danger to them. The chase leaves a moderate litter of bodies behind, but it's not as bloody as, say, Stephen King books.

No, really...They are a supposed series of clues left by DaVinci to reveal a secret about ourselves and God.
If you want to believe them, that is up to you.
