I just had my stray cat (he got all his tests and shots) neutered and now he just started to hump blankets, pillows, stuffed animals ect.! He didn't do this before he was neutered, why did he just start?

My neutered male does this as well -- mostly to my spayed females.
Just because his parts have been removed, doesn't mean the instinct has been. Although if the neutering was recent, it could be from an over production of testoserone from his adrenal glands (the other organ besides the testes that makes it) and he should calm down once his hormones balance themselves out again.

He's rebelling. If you neutered a human male it would do the same thing.

The cat is still a male. It is in us to hump things. Hell, if I could only hump stuff animals myself....

He's trying to show dominance. It's weird, but apparently thats what creatures do in the animal kingdom to show who's the boss.

It's a dominance thing. He is showing all your inanimate object that he is still top kitty. Perhaps he just started b/c he feels like he is losing his dominant position in your household.

My nuetered dog does the same thing he is not actually humping them,but does it to show he's man of the house. So don't worry!

* the Vet that performed the neutering did not burn the nerve endings properly ... contact the vet .. complain enough

its just a natural thing, he might not even know why he does it!! its just something that is programmed into his brain that wont go away!
