My neutered male does this as well -- mostly to my spayed females.
Just because his parts have been removed, doesn't mean the instinct has been. Although if the neutering was recent, it could be from an over production of testoserone from his adrenal glands (the other organ besides the testes that makes it) and he should calm down once his hormones balance themselves out again.

He's trying to show dominance. It's weird, but apparently thats what creatures do in the animal kingdom to show who's the boss.

It's a dominance thing. He is showing all your inanimate object that he is still top kitty. Perhaps he just started b/c he feels like he is losing his dominant position in your household.

My nuetered dog does the same thing he is not actually humping them,but does it to show he's man of the house. So don't worry!
