I think it is falling apart because of its conflicts with things we understand now.

Classical Christianity has been doomed since the Enlightenment. The only reason there are still Christians today is because new strains have evolved that can coexist in a world of science.

With the advent of TV, Christianity continues to evolve into two dominant strains. One strain is the Golden rule camp, that really makes no demands on it's followers other than to generally be nice to people. The other strain is fundamentalism. Will either or both of these survive? Probably for the foreseeable future.

I think it is basically the battle of good vs. evil right now. Does that answer your question? Christianity is not falling apart - more people are just being sucked into the b.s. and feeling sorry for evil terrorists, not defending their homelands, and basically letting Satan in. I am not a person that attends church, but the Bible makes a lot more sense than the Koran.

No, Christianity is not falling apart as a result of Islam.

No, it is not a fact that Christian's beliefs in the bible is not standing the test of times.

As a matter of fact, Christianity is growing worldwide.

Islam is a major religion due to culture, zero tolerance of other religions and sheer population. Christianity is older then Islam yet Islam was founded because of Chrstianity. Christianity is not as old as many other Eastern religions yet is much bigger.

I think Christian type religions will come and go but the overall belief will always be strong.

Christianity is falling apart because the false ones are falling away. It is a perception that Christianity is falling apart.
They are going away into bundles to be burned.
Have you heard someone say, "i used to be a christian".
They never were. They were never real Christians to begin with.
I perceive that you think that just because a person goes to church that he is a real christian.
That isn't so.
There was a time that I was born into a religion and thought I was a christian, but I was not. I was of that religion.
Religion is external, true Christianity is internal.
There are very few real Christians. Like a sprinkling of salt.
Salt retards the spoilage.

Nah... Christianity is falling apart all by itself.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "... the FACT of their beliefs..."; that looks like an oxymoron, to me. Do you mean the fact that they HAVE beliefs?... or do you mean that the bible does not withstand the test of being represented as a factual document?

The way I would characterize the situation is to say that the bible represents the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of an ignorant bunch of peripatetic Bronze Age goat herders as some kind of cosmic 'Truth' (without the least bit of credible evidence). They paint a picture of a fairy-tale terrarium universe inhabited by talking snakes and donkeys, demons, friendly spirits, evil spirits and impossible things like raising people from the dead, stopping the sun in its tracks, parting seas, world-wide floods, creating people from dust and ribs, magical trees of knowledge, gods speaking from burning bushes... and ritual cannibalism by eating god in the form of a cracker.

In order to have a rational view of the universe, it is necessary that one possess the mental faculties that facilitate rationality, logic and critical thought. As it stands right now, a disturbingly large number of people seem to lack those faculties. However, as more and more people learn how to think, the edifice of organized insanity and willful ignorance (Christianity) will, hopefully, continue to diminish.

Didn't know Christianity WAS falling apart. Catholicism has last 2000 years. It's been through many difficult times, including problems with Islam. If it hasn't falling apart yet, I really don't think it will. Why do you think it is?

slpy grrl has the right idea about "father"bobmarley! He's not only an idiot but an anti-Semite.

If anything, Christianity is strengthening because of all the terrorism related to Islam. The Bible prophecied all that is going on right now, including Russia and Iran being in cahoots. The problem is not the religions, it is the *ssholes who try to use it for their own gain.

The Word of God, the Bible has stood the test of time.

Goverments and other religions have tried to stamp it out, but the Bible says that God's Word endures forever.

It has been tested and tried by billions of Chrisitans and found to be the inspired Word of God. Billions of lives have been transformed by God's power. Whole communities have been changed. God's message is as relevant today as it has always been.

The Bible also states "There is no other name under Heaven, given amongst men whereby we must be saved"

Actually, the question should be: " Is Islam falling apart because of Islamic terrorists?". What a trite question. No, we're not falling apart at all.
