2 different operating systems. You can load linux but that is not the same as an upgrade.

Unix is the more powerful, more stable OS. Linux is a clone of Unix written as a college project and developed by lots of different people. If you want the best of these types of OS's try SCO Unix running on a SUN systems workstation.

That is not an upgrade! That is a conversion to a new OS. You will need to look into conversion software from UNIX to LINUX
