Without mosquitoes you wouldn't exist.

They proivide food for many other species. I think form the tone of your question that you have a deep misunderstanding of ecology. Animals do not exist because they have a useful purpose for mankind, they exist because there is a natural niche which they fit into. They are part of the balance of the web of life. Although they seem like just one small insect, the combined weight of mosquitos is millions of pounds. What is the purpose of dogs, lemurs, poison ivy, and the extinct Dodo bird?

swallows and many fish are dependant upon the lowly pestilence known as the mosquito for their existance. Eliminate the mosquito and the swallows might no longer return to Capistrano or any other place for that matter. They serve a purpose, and just because we don't know exactly what it is, does not lessen that purpose.

Nothing is because that mosquitoes are a big bunch of blood-sucking menaces who want to go around and suck people's blood for no apparent reason. What we shall do is to rid the world of every last mosquito there is in order to keep our planet going. This will go for cockroaches and other miscellaneous vermin who want to infest our planet with the most hatefully dangerous diseases which may contaminate our planet's atmosphere and its atmospheric conditions.
