It varies for everyone but for me it was fast. My period returned before going back for my 6 week check up. At the same time my friend had a baby and hers didn't return until her baby was over a year.

Well that depends, are you breastfeeding? If you are, than you period may not start again for a few months. If you are not breastfeeding, then your period usually returns about a month to six weeks after the baby.

Depends on whether you were regular before the baby, and if you are breastfeeding or not. I breastfed my son for 3 months, and I got my period when he was about 7 months old. It was regular, but I didn't want to get pregnant right away so I chose to take b/c pills (I am now pregnant, but by my choice). Other factors such as stress can also cause your period to be off....if you're concerned about the length of time, call your GYN and talk to him/her about it. Good luck!

I nursed all three of mine exclusively until adding solids at 6 months and then continued nursing until well beyond their first year.

With my son, my period returned on his 10 mos bday.
With my middle daughter, my period returned after 9.5 mos.
With my youngest, it took over a year. I think it was 16 months.

I also had a c-section and did not breastfeed. It turned right into somewhat over 2 months. i began birth control a month when I had my infant and it brought about mine to very last for 27 days. So pay attention! yet each man or woman is diverse my cousin did no longer have hers for 3 months.

It depends on if you nurse or not. Most of my friends who nurse got theirs back around 8-9 months (I never got mine because I got pregnant when my daughter was about 7 months). If you don't nurse you can get it back as early as 3-6 weeks. It really varies woman to woman though.
