I have a Credit One credit card with a $200 credit limit on it. The bill is due tomorrow (Wednesday, July 19) but I just mailed out the payment today. Will my credit be affected by them receiving it a few days late, or is there generally a grace period since the check is dated and postmarked before the duedate?

it depends on if they have a grace period or not...some places will charge you 25.00 late fee such as capitol one, they suck! but if you are only a couple days late just call to let them know you put a check in the mail and they wil lbe ok, it shouldnt affect you :)

Usually credit card companies don't report you to the credit bureau unless you are 30 or 15 days late on the payment. You'll probably be ok since you just mailed it, but I would call the company just to see what their individual policy is. The number is probably on the back of the card. The only source for the best answer is the company itself! And it probably wouldn't hurt to tell them that your check is in the mail and they can notate your account.

Additionally, look out for increased interest rates! They may not report you to the credit bureau, but some cards will jack your rate up even if you are 1 day late!

You should have called before the due date maybe you could have worked something out. It will be late and show as a late payment.

The payment is logged WHEN THEY GET IT not on any other terms---it will be entered late--you will see a fee (not much on this amount) but you will not be adversely affected by this unless it becomes a thing---one or two times is not considered a risk level to the companies

Your credit shouldn't be affected, but it would be wise to contact them. You may be subject to a late fee, a phone call to their service center could avoid that.

There will be late charges, but it shouldn't affect your credit if its only a couple days late.

nope - no grace period...
I dont think it will affect
it too much...maybe you
could call and see if they
could deduct the late fee...
