The best thing to do is to talk a walk around the block or building while breathing deeply.

Get your blood moving and get some oxygen to your brain!

All the tests done on this show that the 10 min of shut eye are better, they even tried en stating naps into the daily work routine, but that didn't get to far...if you can't get those 10 min, try coffee as a last result, but often times you will need 3 cups or more before you feel the results.

totally depends on the individual. some people have massive caffine tolerances, others, like myself don't. I find tiredness+caffine makes me feel anxious and is detremental to consentration. these are well known effects of caffine and not unique to me. 10mins power nap might be helpful, if you nap too long you'll be getting close to deep sleep and will find it harder to wake up afterwards. the best thing is probably to set your self up well in the first place; make sure your well hydrated, drink plenty of water all day, keep blood sugar as steady as possible, the peaks and troughs in blood sugar levels created by eating sweet stuff for an 'energy boost' actually end up making you feel more tired in the long run, so try to avoid refined sugar, sweet stuff choc ect. instead snack alot on carby unrefined stuff like fruit, nuts and seeds sandwich's ect. then if you still find your getting tired, have your nap if possible, if not just get out side and do somthing else for a minute.... oh and excercise is good :) i do night shifts sometimes, short sleeps, loads of non caffine fluids, and sometimes a quick run outside all help, small amounts of caffine i find are ok.. hope this helps??

I don't know. The shut eye works for me, so I don't drink coffee. I've also heard that eating an apple actually works better than drinking coffee.

when Im sleepy at work I get up and walk around outside, it helps alot. 10 minute "power naps" are suppose to help but I cant do that.

I think a quick 10 minute nap is the best ever! You feel like someone recharged your battery.

Scientifically speaking "power naps" are better. I have found them to be helpful. The effects of caffeine wear off.

coffee is good because it stimulates the brain.
however, taking a nap is better because the body can rest.
