I talk to God through prayer all day, whether it be actually kneeling down to pray or just a casual comment or question. I accepted Jesus when I was six years old, but it took many years of life and help from friends and family to get where I am today. God is the 'small, still voice' and it can be hard to hear through all the noise of life.

I'm Mormon, but converted from Methodist and have always prayed. At first silently, then vocally too. I also have prayed via letters in a journal. But always through prayer.
As I was studying to know if the Book of Mormon was true, I prayed and asked if it was true. For the first time, and what a surprise it was, my prayers were answered audibly. It doesn't always happen audibly, in fact it is quite rare for me. Most of the time I feel the Holy Spirit. However, that comes in a myriad of ways too. Everything from feeling at peace about a decision, to feeling a nervous ball of energy in the pit of my stomach when I need to bare my testimony, to having a sense of familiarity or understanding when presented with new information. As to how I got where I am, it comes line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little as I learn, grow, and apply the teachings taught to me and confirmed as true by the Holy Spirit.

Christian religion. I have a fairly constant awareness of God inside me. I ask for help, but realise that I am only one of His children, and He is smarter than I am. I've been all around Robin Hoods barn with religion - dad was a preacher, impoverished in Texas. I ditched Christianity, tried Hare Krsna - didn't work, I was too smart. Got into yoga, and there was where I found God inside me, during meditation. I'm back in church, very active now. God is all around, and inside everyone. I can hear him by shutting up - and yoga is a good way to do that.

The place where I talk to God the most (and I don't talk to God nearly as much as I ought to) is in my car. I'll get in my car, turn off the radio, and just rattle away , telling God about what's going on with me, what I'm thinking, what I'm struggling with. I don't use any formulaic prayer - my talks with God are very spontaneous and off-the-cuff.
It's much easier to talk to God than to hear God. When I was younger my urge for instant gratification turned me off to prayer, because I didn't get the right-away solutions to all my problems that I was expecting. In order that I might hear God, I try to go through my entire day receptive to his answers to my questions. I find that I most often "stumble" upon God's responses to my concerns in some other, mundane, unrelated area of my life - it's hard to explain. I know that some would say that I am projecting my own solutions to my problems upon God; I say that, while sometimes God reaffirms what I've been thinking, he at times forces me to do a 180 and venture off in a whole new direction.
The important thing is this: my relationship with God enables me to unload my burdens upon him, and I often (not always) receive a response to my concerns in the most unpredictable and unexpected places, so long as I keep my eyes and ears open and receptive to his answers.

I like what Paul said about prayer. Pray unceasingly. I want my daily walk in this world to be with My Lord at my side. Then there is my personal devotional. That is a time I spend just being still and listening. I have had times when this has directed me out of a lot of trouble over the years.. Prayer is a important time in a Christian's day

I believe God speaks to me through the bible, and through the people he brings into my life. When I have a problem I just talk to him as if he were a friend standing right next to me. Then when I go to my bible I look for anything that relates to my problem. Sometimes I find the answer and sometimes I don't. When I don't find a direct answer I pay extra attention to people around me. Usually there is someone who will address my problem without me bringing it up, and I usually get insight or a direct answer.
I am a non denominational seventh day christian.

in the Jewish religion anyone can talk directly to G-d you don't need an intermediary and in fact it's against the religion
When I wake I say a blessing acknowledging G-ds presence and thanking him for giving my soul a chance to remain in my body. When I eat I say a blessing for what I am eating and acknowledging that this came form Him when I go to the toilet i say a blessing acknowledging that every part of my body is functioning the way it should Every part of my life i am in communication with G-d.
I got this way after being around people that felt lost and had no direction or happiness - i understood that there is a plan for me and everyone in the world to follow and that nothing is random and what I do with my life matters.
i hear G-d every waking moment and I try and behave knowing He is watching and is pleased by my actions

I am a Christian, one who loves the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray to God by just speaking to Him. One has not got to be in a church or a holy place to pray. Having a relationship with God is such a wonderful thing. I speak to Him with awe and reverence, but pour out my heart to Him, and guess what - He listens. He answers prayer.
I became a Christian at the age of 13. That was 37 years ago now. I know God personally, and you can too.

I talk to Him like I would talk to any other person. I will often speak to him out loud while I'm driving, or in my mind when others are around. What I had to do to get to this point was accept Jesus Christ as my savior, and continue to draw near to God through the reading of the Bible and being yielded to the Holy Spirit. As I practice this with more intent, I become more aware of Him communicating with me.

Well to hear God I had to get saved. When Jesus died on the cross the veil of the temple was rent in two. That means I can come to God through Jesus in prayer. I need no man of God to go for me. I can go into the holies of holies and pray right to Jesus. Jesus is the mediator between man and God.
