Recently I had an opportunity to meet a Buddhist monk who was with me in a train journey. We were talking about several subjects and he touched the distruction of the Bhamian Carvings and the effects. In one of the Buddhist religious holy books with the help of quartlet it is conveyed that "the persons who took over the holy land of Buddha (may be Makha) from us will destroy the carvings + places of worship. Due to their infedal act earth will tremble and will make the mother sea loose control and swallow thousands of lives at once. It will continue till a great destruction takes place". Have any of you heard and read some where to support this statement?

According to Pat Robertson, the tsunami was a message from god that amounts to 'be a christian, or else'. Now we find out it was actually a retribution from Bhama.

You gotta wonder why these gods can't just come talk to us all directly and tell us what they want, rather than making us try to discern their will from natural disasters.

Yea, and christian fundimentalists are sure that God is punishing american troops because the average american does not ascribe to their bigoted views about gays.

Would it be more helpful to you if these people would say,----And the cow jumped over the moon-------- at the end when they make these stupid comments. I personally have been hopeing that they would start doing this.

It would make it so much eaiser to recognise these types of fairy tails when we hear them.

This is not true because everything that happens is the will of Allah so the Tsunami is just Allah's way of amusing himself by making people suffer and die. Same as in Iraq where it is Allah's will that Muslims slaughter one and other in Allah's name - has that Allah got a sense of humor or what!
