You've been grabbing yourself all night long.

If you are petite then you could have a common condition of thin or small capilaries. This becomes an issue in cold weather (perpetually cold hands/feet) and when your body's metabolism slows (such as sleeping). Your blood has difficulty getting to the furthest parts of your body (in relation to the position of your heart...ex: hands and feet), and therefore has difficulty moving oxygen to those extremities. You experience a loss of sensation or "weakness" until your hands resume proper bloodflow.

This is not a problem you can really avoid, simply a matter of your body's composition. I would consult your doctor about possible circulatory conditions.

Do you sleep on them? I tuck my hands under my pillow behind my head and when I wake up in the morning they are weak and tingly because I cut off the circulation during the night by putting too much pressure on them.

it depends on the way you sleep. i used to sleep with my hands under my body, sometimes cutting the sirculation and thus not being able to properly use my hands immediately when i wake up. if you change position of your hands and the problem persists you should probably see a doctor though
