considering the weather, i'd say whatever you choose, it's gonna be a "hot dog!"

Look for a Toy Breed there are many each breed has plus points and minus when you ask this type of question you must consider weather condtions choose a short haired breed over a long haired breed in a hot climate also they are easier to care for. Even a Beagle which is a medium size dog can be kept in an apartment also exercise is important to consider some breeds need to be exercised more than others. Good luck Check this website: http://dogs breed list

I think that any dog is suitable for the house. I've had dogs that weighed more than me in the house. As long as they are properly cared for- bathed, brushed, etc. Might need some obedience training if it is a young wild one. All my dogs have been inside dogs because when I adopted them, I made them part of our family. I think it is very sad when people adopt a dog and leave it chained out back with no company or love. People like that should leave the poor dog at the shelter and give it a better chance at finding a loving family!!

I would recommend one of the toy dogs that doesn't need much excercise, like a Boston, Chihuahua, or Miniature Pinscher. You will notice that I have not recommended any long haired dogs. They need to be taken to the groomer, which is, to me, a needless expense.

a furry soft toy dog.

do you mean keeping in the house and never going out?

when we take dogs Luke and Holly down to the beach, they love it, digging for crabs, running after us, swimming out to meet us. I can't imagine a dog never leaving the house
