Firstly, don't panic! Let your daughter drink as much as she wants! I am presuming she is now on solids, so feed her at mealtimes but offer her drinks then. Give her drinks at other times (it also helps to reinforce the eating at mealtimes and not other times)

However, if you pinch your baby's skin (for example on the arm or back of the hand) and it does not immediately spring back then she is dehydrated and needs to be seen ASAP.

I used to give my children diluted orange or apple juice (and by that I mean less than 1/4 juice). If you are worried, speak to your health visitor/practice nurse - they may have other ideas to get your daughter to drink if you are convinced she is not drinking enough - or put your mind at rest!

At least three bottles. Sugar free baby apple would be okay too rather than just water. It is a worry with the weather but the more she can drink the better. Do not loose sleep over it though babies and children take on water when they need it so they will be fine. Also any fluid will be fine but in this weather water based drinks are better.

Your baby is 9 months old and breastmilk or formula should be the major source of liquid. Water is not that necessary right now. You can give her very diluted juice - DO NOT give her sugar water. It is empty calories and why add unnecessary sugar to her diet? There is no need for this.
Why are you concerned? Are you outside a lot? Do you have airconditioning? I wouldn't be overly concerned as long as she is drinking as many bottle as she always does and has plenty of wet diapers. Always call your pediatrician if you notice a problem. They know your baby the best and they expect you to call and get advice :)

I'd suggest offering her a drink consisting of half juice/half water, and as far as how much she should drink, I would let her be the judge of that. Offer her a bottle or sippy cup regularly, she'll drink if she's thirsty or ignore it if she's not. It's important though that you at least give her frequent opportunities to drink either water, milk or juice, especially with this heat! Hope this helps!

Not a baby has the same thirst and reaction to heat. Listen to your baby and test many mixes : water, diluted juice with different dilutions and different ways to give to her : warm, cold, glass, bottle, ice. Play with water, stay in the less warm places, keep her naked, take your time, stay calm. See what she likes, when and how and try to respect that.

Like everything else, best way is to keep in mind the difference between our natural tendance to worry and the real messages from our baby :)

U dont wanna give your child to much water due to they can actually drown themselves from drinking to much. I mean i give my son wanter when we are outside and it is extremely hot out maybe like 4 oz a day or so, i also give him pedilyte. Mix it half and half, u can get those popcicles, they are 2oz of the liquid then use 2 oz of water and they ar ejust fine, Jus tmake sure that your child isnt sleeping to much and deffently not drinking to much, to much will make them sick and so will not enough. YOu should be able to tell by now whan she is thirsty or hungary. Use ur instints!!!

there is no right or wrong answer to this question, kids will drink when and if they feel like it, just make sure there is something around all the time and keep offering it, trying offering very diluted cordial, although its not ideal its better if a baby drinks that rather than nothing

I would say at least two bottles. If she doesnt like water, dilute, apple juice or cranberry. put enough in just to slightly flavour the water.

At her age it shouldn't matter how much water she drinks, when my kids where her age i made sure they had plenty of water, nothing can happen from giving too much , except that you'll have a few more nappies to change!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as much as possible babies dehydrate in the sun a lot faster than older children and adults. keep her in a well shaded area if possible and if she'll tolerate it put sunglasses on her make sure she's wearing a hat and then put plenty of total sun block on her
