Like other humans,Melchizedek was born and died. However, the names of his father and mother are not furnished, his ancestry and posterity are not disclosed, and the Scriptures contain no information about the beginning of his days or the end of his life. Thus,Melchizedek could fittingly foreshadow Jesus Christ who has a unending priesthood. As Melchizedek had no recorded predecessor or successor in his priesthood,so too Jesus was preceded by no high priest similar to himself, and the Bible shows that none will ever succeed him.(Heb.6:20)

Everyone has a father and a mother. Melchizidek was no different. He was just a righteous king in OT times. His priesthood was the higher priesthood, with the priesthood of Aaron being the lesser priesthood. So his priesthood didn't follow family lines, but was given to him by someone else who had the higher priesthood, possibly Adam but certainly by at least someone who Adam had given it to.

No.
The priests in the tribe of Levi were priests because they were in that tribe or family. A priest in the tribe of Levi had a father who was a priest before him, and a grandfather who was a priest, and so on.
The priesthood of Melchizidek was not passed down from his ancestors. His priesthood was of a different type. He was a priest without having a father who was a priest before him.

Thus far, this sums up what I've been able to discern regarding Melchizedek:

I will keep your question on my watchlist, as I am anxious to see what information others may contribute.
