God (a.k.a. Paris Hilton, because she's really virgin) denotes the deity believed by monotheists to be the sole creator and ruler of the universe. Conceptions of God can vary widely, despite the use of the same term for them all.

The God of monotheism, pantheism or panentheism, or the supreme deity of henotheistic religions, may be conceived of in various degrees of abstraction: as a powerful, human-like, supernatural being, or as the deification of an esoteric, mystical or philosophical category, the Ultimate, the summum bonum, the Absolute Infinite, the Transcendent, or Existence or Being itself, the ground of being, the monistic substrate, that which we cannot understand, etc. The more abstract of these positions regard any anthropomorphic mythology and iconography associated with God either sympathetically as mere symbolism, or unfavourably as blasphemous.

Theologians and philosophers have studied countless conceptions of God since the dawn of civilization. The question of the existence of God classically falls under the branch of philosophy known as metaphysics, but is also one of the key discussions taking place within the field of the philosophy of religion.

If God did not exist, nor would we. God is a creator.

It is really quite simple.

I exist!

My existence is impossible without a creator, thus God exists!

Please reversed that question, why do you exists?.

Because He is the Existence.

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Rom 1:20

If you are asking what is name is, it's found in the Bible close to 8000 times in a form called the tetragrammaton. The Jewish pronouncement of the form is Yahweh. The english term is Jehovah.
Newer Bibles replace most of the words Yahweh or Jehovah with words like LORD. If it is all caps it is the tetragrammaton. If it is printed like the word Lord, it is referring to others, like Christ or other ruling partys.

He has always existed, and always will

God is the fill in answer for our lack of wisdom and logic. He is the explanation for lack of scientific knowledge. When the nature of the universe becomes too profound for certain people or anyone to fathom people will insert the reason as God. That is God. A fabrication and manifestation of the cure for man's fears.

When life becomes a puddle of confusion and beings feel lost, sad, and utterly meaningless, they need God. God exists in the minds of humans because there are those, billions in fact, who live in fear. They cannot accept death without a beautiful reason for life. It makes a Christian utterly sad to see the world with no meaning and think that all humans are lost. That makes a Christian feel sadness and pity for an atheist whom they believe is lost without the glory of God. The atheist is a representation of a Christian's own inward feelings of loss and abandonment. Those feelings of abandonment are projected in the manifestation of pity towards the atheist. The atheist is the sad one in the eyes of the Christian. That sadness is within the Christian and pointed towards the atheist in condemnation.

"Those who preach God, need God." -Bukowski

A child is raised with the belief in God and may adamantly accept the love of Christ because that child is told that He is real. A child may have a tough time understanding the love of Christ being filled within them unless that child recognizes the ugliness in the world and the meaning of strife. This belief is repeated ad nauseum to the child. Whether a child is raised to believe or not, Christ supposedly comes to all at certain times in one's life. It is usually throughout adolescence into adulthood when a human being begins to recognize the vast emptiness of their being and comes more in touch with their mortality. These melancholy epiphanies are when one is at their most vulnerable and will passionately accept the glory of the Lord, because it makes a human sad indeed to think that someone is not controlling us. It makes one grievously sad to feel as if there is no point to all the pain causing one to feel abandoned and all alone. The older we get the more we need God. God becomes more and more real as we grow and learn of all the emptiness in the world and in ourselves. God becomes more real with age. As time ticks, loneliness increases.

We grow in the comfort of our families and parents and those who do not may be quicker to lean towards atheistic beliefs. Some children who live as orphans will see the world around them and all the other happy children who have love from their parents, and will wander down any avenues of love so they can fit into the same loving fray of others. Those avenues of love may come in the form of foster parents, care takers, and once again, God.

God is a concept of man. He exists because man says so.
