Why is it that whenever someone posts a question regarding God and Religion and their BELIEF.. someone comes along and screams about throwing religion in their face? Don't come to the religion and spirituality section if you don't want to hear about God.. on the other hand.. WHY is it that whenever someone has something negative to say about God or their disbelief.. someone has to come along preaching about him? Do you people just like fighting with each other?

I believe in God.. but I don't force beliefs.. and I think that if you don't that's your choice.. and I'm not part of what you chose to believe.. just so ya'll know.

Honestly, I think it's because of low self esteem. Some people are completely threatened when others believe differently because they have their self-value wrapped up in what others think. If others think their beliefs are not valid, that means THEY are not valid. This sort of emotional bruising happens of both sides of the fence when it comes to actual beliefs (which is why you see it both ways).
If people would realize that everyone is free to believe what they want and that the number of people who believe that way has no bearing on the belief's (or their own) validity, the world would be a better place.

When you have beliefs that are so polar opposite you are going to get some heated comments. At least we're not killing each other over it like in Iraq. Look at the Sunni and Shiite sects blowing each other up daily over there. Now that's disgusting. A few snide comments here pale in comparison.

both responses provoke a reaction because people's beliefs are often the polar opposites of each other. Each tries to convince the other the existance/undecided/non -existance of god. No-one gets anywhere and if anything it just cements their own beliefs even more.

Most people do not just log into one category. Some people do not walk around with blinders on.
