Check the university publications schedule of classes (updated for each semester, and the catalog of courses offered for policies relating to auditing a class. Typically: 1. You can audit the class with the permission of the instructor. 2. No college credits are awarded. 3. People auditing the classes do not take exams, turn in home work, etc. 4. People auditing the class may well be thought of as the "fly on the wall" in many instances. 5. Although you may not receieve college credits, you can still learn a lot auditing a class often --- if you apply yourself well. Good Luck

nope- that is why you are auditing. it's for your own personal enrichment. you are not required to complete the course work and the instructor is not required to look at it if you do.
So, no, you can't get a free education at a university level through auditing. However, even if you used financial aid before, you should still be able to get some as an adult. Many schools have programs specifically targeted toward adults who want to go back and get degrees. Even if you don't get aid through the government, you may be able to get it through some schools.

No you don't get credit. If you're not paying for the course, then the school is not going to give you credit! If that were the case, why would ANYONE pay to go to college? Everybody would be taking classes for free and getting their diploma for free!
