esau was the son of Isaac and Rebecca. he also had a brother named Jacob. There is a story in the Bible about how esau comes back from hunting and is very hungry so jacob gives him a bowl of soup in exchange for his birthright (since esau was older he was entitled to the birthright from his father). so the story goes on to say that since Isaac was loosing his vision and jacob decided to disguised himself as his brother and recieved the birthright. but after esau found out he was raging with fury and went after his brother. after a while of fighting the humbled themselves and forgave each other.

Esau is the son of Isaac and Rebekah. He is supposed to receive his birthright (leadership of Israel) from Isaac. However, Esau's brother Jacob tricks Isaac into giving it to him.

Esau was Jacob's older twin brother, who sold Jacob his rights as first born for a meal when he was really hungry. Not a very bright guy, if you ask me.
