I was in a serious relationship for 2 yrs. Its been about ten months since i got dumped =/ .. Anyways I've dated and been intimate with other girls, some more attractive than my ex.. but after a few weeks of being with another partner I get turned off or emotionally enclosed, and stop it before it gets serious.. I also have like a really big guard with new women i meet. I was never like this before my ex, has my past relationship messed me up somehow? Has anyone ever felt like this? How long will this last? what can i do to get over this?

It's totally normal after a serious long lasting relationship, the only thing you can do is relax and realize that every women is not the same. You are very very far from meeting someone just like her so forget about it. Personally I tell you to take some time for yourself, go out with friends and hang out with family. Then once you've gone through this alone period you can try meeting new women and I promise you everything will go back to the way things were before this women traumatizing issue! Have faith in yourself and be confident at all costs your bound to find a lovely women that compliments you!

yeah...it has to do with being dumped...you still have some hurt inside and a bit of low self esteem, from that relationship. you wont let someone cloe again because the fear of rejection. it will take time...not much for some long for others. If you just realize that these things happen in life, no matter who you are ...major celebrity(although they are just people) to the girl/guy next door, you an get passed it. Take it as a way to find the one thats really ment for you. these things happen for a reason. Some people are together for 20/30 years and split.....two years was a learning period for you....take what you have learned and use the positive side...i know doesn't seem like there is any...but there is always something we learn in a relationship that helps us later in life....like take it ....s.l.o.w.

Isn't it funny how all other animal species seem to be able to make it work out, but humans always keep bungling it up? A penguin can get it straight, and we can't. So much for our superiority! Think lions play mind games? Think ducks try to emotionally abuse their duck-lover? Humans are really one seriously messed-up species.
