People have been looking for Jesus to return for almost 2000 years.
Christians are seeing prophecies fulfilled. A big obvious one was that the Jews have a nation again. Many prophecies in the Bible could not happen until that happened.
The next big obvious event will be the rapture.
I personally think that we may have up to 100 more years. Most people think that God has a 6000 year plan (the Jewish calender is at about 5,875). But the Bible says that if time (His coming?) were not shortened, no flesh would survive. So He may come before that.
For many people they will know Jesus today (not the rapture or His return) because they will die. Lets hope that they are ready,.

If you were would take the time to read the Bible you may become a "humper" too! I live in the south known as the Bible Belt because that is where most of the "humping" goes on. You know! I think you learn something by "humping" a Bible yourself. I don't go around pushing my views of Christ upon other people. But I am not afraid to defend his name either. I wouldn't be very much of a person if I couldn't stand up for my Father! And trust me he will come again. No one knows when he will and there are many souls that will suffer. Do you want to be left here to decide if you believe after he has came? I don't and I don't attend church every Sunday. I do believe and I am not ashamed of it. It is something to be proud of!

First, it's Bible "thumpers", not "humpers".
Second, most true Christians do NOT go around claiming to know when Jesus will return, only that He WILL one day return and we should be ready for that day, for "no man knows the day nor the hour."
Third, the only people who claim to know when Jesus will return are mostly involved in one cult or another, not in mainstream Christianity.
Finally, Jesus did not come into this world to condemn it, but to save it. Jesus said these words: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him."
Does that sound like a threat or scare tactic to you? I think the problem is that you just don't understand who Jesus was, what he said, or what he was all about. Might I recommend you read about the life of Jesus from the book of John, i.e. the gospel according to John? Find out for yourself what Jesus is all about. (BTW, "gospel" simply means "good news".)

Open you scriptures and read Matt 24 the whole chapter if you are interested especially Matt 24:37-39 and ask yourself if this is not this day and age? He also spoke of Daniel, Daniel spoke of a seven year treaty that would be signed and after that the Kingdom of Yahweh (see tetragrammaton) would be established, that peace treaty was signed by Israel and Palestine Rabin and Arafat and Clinton in 1993. Daniel then predicted that it would be shut down for 10 years and it was, he then predicted that it would be reactivated after that ten years and it was on the exact date that it was shut down in on Apr 13 1993. It was signed back into effect by Bush and Sharon on Apr 13 2004 giving mankind three more year of mans gov of the people and by the people. The Nukes will start on 9/12/06. May Yahweh bless your understanding

no one knows when jesus is coming back, not even jesus himself knows. this is in the bible. but there are signs of his return. such as earthquakes hurricanes wars and rumors of war. even though that stuff has been going on for years now what is a few hundred years compare to an eternity. he will be back like a theif in the night.
i think the poeple you are talking about are not saying that hes coming back at a certian time because they do not know for sure. they are just saying that the time will be sooon. and i belive that the time will be soon also. but an exact time i can not tell you because no one knows that.
read your bible sometime so that you can the truth about jesus' return.

Well I don't "Hump" Bibles, I do believe in the Bible and Our Lord, and I don't stand on a soap box pretending to predict the coming of the Lord! The Bible is VERY clear in stating that no-one knows when the end will come except the Father Himself. And I personally have never said..."Listen to me or Jesus will be pissed at you" Whoever said this to you is very uninformed of the teachings of Christ.

First of all, I believe you meant to write "Bible thumper," not "Bible humper." The latter would refer to someone who profanes God's Holy Word by masturbating on it. The former is someone who pulls out the Bible frequently to make a point.
Second of all, if the founder of the Christian religion told His followers to look forward to His return by being ready (morally upright, warning those who needed to be warned and encouraging those who needed to be encouraged) then why should they not look forward to His return by being ready?
If you're turned off by something (as I am) it ought to be when anyone tries to predict the specific day and hour Jesus will return. Jesus clearly said even that was not up to Him but up to His Father alone. He left it a mystery. Do you know why? Because if we knew exactly when Jesus would return it would severely alter world and personal decisions. This keeps the exact time of His return a matter of faith but the fact of His future return a certainty. Biblical Christianity is a combination of matters of faith and certainty.

Said what makes you feel good and make everyone else sin with you.
The word of God is the one that says so, read for you self, don't take my word for it, I expect no one to take my word for it, if the reason that we place the book name and verses, is because we want people to read it for them self. So Christian don't bible humpers, we state what it is written. The only one who is jumping her is you.. My last question, I add nothing to it, but everything is from the word of God.
Jesus will never obligate you to serve Him, He is a gentleman. But at list He worn you. He send us to bring the gospels to every nations, like it or not we will do it, no matter how much un-believer will scream or stump.
No word of Un-believers can offend me. Cause Jesus already worn us about these insults of un-believer. If they spit Jesus in the face, I don't care how many will spit on mine, but I will never, never, never, stop preaching the gospels of my Lord.

On a vaguely similar theme, I wonder what happened to all the imbeciles who knew the world was going to end at the start of 2000. They're probably the bible bumpers now.

You are really mixed up. In the Bible, when Jesus was asked when the last day will be, he replied,"only the Father knows the day and the hour".
