Theis is what Jesus said before He went back to heaven:
Matthew 24:4-8
"Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 "For many will come in My name, saying, `I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. 6 "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 "All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Matthew 24:11-15
11 "Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 "But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
15 "Therefore when you see the `abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place"(The Holy of Holies of the soon to be rebuilt third temple on the temple mount) (whoever reads, let him understand),

Evy, I really hope so. I know I've given my life to the Lord, and that He is now my Lord and Savior. I really can't wait until He does come back for me and His people. However, I know that I do have a bit of fear for all the time I've squandered and wasted in this life.

"How many hours have I spent on myself when I could be praying, fasting, preaching the gospel and winning souls for Christ? Am I going to be able to present sheaves before Him when I stand before Him? Am I totally sold out for Him?"

As I answer these questions to myself, a sudden fear comes upon me. I really need to stif myself up, you know? My life is no longer my own: I've been bought with the price of His shed blood. So although I do say "Come quickly Lord Jesus," I also feel somewhat not at ease because of the way I have been living. He could come back at any moment. Will the Lord say to me, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant?" I really hope so. *Lord, help me to live for you, to be sold out for Your name's sake!!*

I could go on, but I won't! lol I hope you understand my point. ^_^

People have been saying that the second coming is close since Christ ascended. It is probably closer now than it was then, but I think soon is a very relative term, especially when you are talking about God. Continue to live day to day. There is nothing you can do to predict when the end will come, so you must live like it is not coming. In the end, it won't really matter anyway.

The old line when it comes to insults is always true "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." I am a bit confused by the use of "I am the Christ" in your translation of the bibilical verse because that is not used on all translations of the bible and I wonder if your translation might have some errors. The word "Christ" would not have been used my Jesus himself for example. That is some addition by some later writer and it may be accurate in meaning in the case here - it might not as well.

I am not going to insult you. I just told my bf the same thing the other day. He thinks I am CRAZY! Well, maybe I am but I want to be ready. You are talking about a spiritual battle that is going to take alot more strength than what I am used to. I try to keep vigilant in my prayers and not to go astray. I can't say when it will happen but I don't think that anyone will know. I do agree that it is all in the Bible if we read it but then I think that there will be an out-pouring of revival in God's name before the time comes.

Were you there to hear him say that? If you were following Jesus around back then, would you listen to what he was saying, or would you walk around with a notepad (Hahaha... notepad back then) and take notes so that you could quote him later and write a story.

Here comes your insult: You live a sad existence where you spend the majority of your day worrying about this kind of thing.

"... for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. ... "All these are the beginning of sorrows."

To me this says that people will declare His coming because all the signs are there, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen now. Think about how long it takes for things to unfold in the Bible. I think people who are living the End of Days are wasting their lives because it' going to be while! This is just the beginning!

If it's true. . . Just because the Bible says so doesn't make it so.

Ready? He can't come quickly enough for me! The Bible promises that the Word sent out will not come back empty, so you keep sending out, Sweetheart. His name must be proclaimed before the nations until He does come. The truth is He will come back in everyone's lifetime ... whether it is for all of us at once, or one of us at a time. So always be ready ... The situation in Israel does bring questions about Scripture fulfillment, doesn't it? God Bless.

With Israel being attacked by Hebollah- supported by syria, iran, and russia, this appears to fulfill prophesies in ezechiel and jeremiah that Israel will be invaded from the north, the beginnning of Armageddon. This would put jesus return as very soon.

Can you advise what you mean by close - set a date. Then once that date passes and the world is still here, you'll be able to realize that it was all nonsense and and you can become a thinking human being. Believe me, it will be a real eye opener for you!
