Cooking isn't the only way to get a man, and that by itself won't keep him. Still, learn to cook. Why? Because cooking something special for him is a great thing to do. Personally I'd love it. (And I know how to cook for myself.) Also, it's just a good skill to have. So yeah. Do it. Just remember that it takes more than a meal...

According to some people a woman has to be a maid in the living room, a w*ore in the bedroom and a cook in the kitchen. Jerry hall always said I can employ a cook and a maid but will take care of the bedroom part myself.
Personally I like to cook, but not on demand. I do make my husband special meals sometimes but he also does that for me. Its the year 2006 equality is all BUT it does show a willingness to impress and that you care to create a special meal for your man on the other hand don't do it too regularly other wise it won't be special anymore and he will come to expect it.

You shouldn't need to do anything but be yourself to keep your man. If you enjoy cooking for him, which many women do, then go ahead, but I wouldn't do it because you think you have to! I personally cannot cook and my boyfriend knows that. We eat out a lot. These days both partners usually have their own careers and are tired when they get home. You should just spend the time you have from your busy schedules being together and not worrying about what you "should" be doing.

any woman that knows how to cook has a huge advantage to one who can't. As the saying goes the way to a mans heart is through his stomach. But I wouldn't make a deal of it if she couldn't cook I am an educated cook myself so

it all depends on whether you're planning on moving to the 1950/60 or 70's. as far as i am aware the time machine hasnt been invented yet, so drop the T towell put on your glads rags and find yourself a modern man who, can or cant cook. theres always ready meals and tins of beans.
