Cats are pregnant for about 63 to 70 days. If this was a purebred, you should have had her checked before you bred her to make sure she was healthy. If this is just just a regular domestic mixed breed cat and she is not very far along in her pregnancy, you want to consider calling the vet and asking to have her spayed now. Of course, you will lose the kitten embryos, but there are too many homeless cats in the world as it is.
Take her to the vet any way to see if she is healthy. Then ask for a recommendation for what to feed her. She will need a nutritionally dense food, a growth formula or one that is for kittens .She needs lots of protein now.
She will have the kittens where ever she pleases but you can try and please her by setting up a cardboard carton with one side cut down. Put in a very old soft towel you won't mind throwing away. Mother cats usually handle the delivery by themselves and human interference only causes trouble. But if one kitten shows up and you are waiting more than an hour for the next one, it is time to call the vet.
Just get the poor thing spayed. Cats live in the present and she will forget all about it. Cats do not need to have a litter.

A cat is pregnant for about nine weeks, or roughly 63 days. During this time your cat should be eating kitten food to give her the extra nutrients and proteins that she needs. A vet is not necessarily needed during pregnancy unless you suspect that something is wrong. After the kittens are born, they should be dewormed by the vet at two weeks of age, and then every two weeks until they are eight weeks. At eight weeks they should receive their first vaccines, and then at that time they can go to their new homes.

I believe it's about 8 weeks or so. That you should double check on. But no, a vet should not be needed during a normal pregnancy.
Also, when mom is ready to deliver you can have the MOST WONDERFUL place set up for her, but she will almost certainly choose her own spot. If that happens and you need to relocate everybody give her a day or so with the kittens before you resettle them.

A vet is not needed throughout the pregnancy but you should take her to one to have all your questions answered and to schedule an appointment to have her SPAYED after the birth so we don't have any more unwanted litters.
Not neutering your pets is irresponsible pet ownership and in the long run, the cost of spaying/neutering is way cheaper than caring for the gobs of babies you are going to end up with.

I think from 6-9 months. I just had a cat have kittens in my backyard a few months ago. She didn't need to go to the vet, it went fine. When she had them, she started feeding them right away. Animals are smart when it comes to that stuff. They don't need much help.

If this is your cats first pregnancy, depending on your luck, the mother may not know what to do with the kittens other than drag them to a secluded area and let them die, if this happens, yes its sad but by the next round you'll find her being nuturing and protective as she should be.
As for term of pregnancy?
Nine Weeks, not months.
oh and no vet needed.
