Common Thread of Aleph, Dervish and Harlequin?

When we start talking with each other, we need to make sure that we understand what is meant by each word.

Aleph - the first letter of the Jewish alphabet, it is also a name of organizations and systems. Which one did you mean?

Dervishes - known for their whirling dances and vigorous chanting leading to ecstasy. Also a person with frenzy energy is sometimes called a Dervish.

Harlequin - a comedian with painted face and colorful tights. Or a clown, or something with brightly colored patterns of diamond shapes.

I assume that you mean Aleph the Hebrew letter, Dervish, the religious dancer, and Harlequin, the comedian.

They are all teachers of a kind: The Dervish teaches by devotion and self-discipline, the Harlequin by fun and ironic remarks, and the Hebrew letter Aleph, the Ox, is a symbol of one of our energy fields.

When we look more closely, they all teach us spiritual values on different levels of our perception: actively, the Dervish; happily, the Harlequin; and symbolically, the Hebrew letter.

By offering the spiritual teaching in different ways, it may reach all. May we all be touched by the Spirit.

Life is a collage of immense variety. Underlying truth and similarities are familiar to some and unfamiliar to the rest.
