It all depends if you are doing them right, some say 10 some say 20 and naybe even 30 or 40 but it also depends on your body chemistry. I do walking with the pilates and I lost 40 pounds in 2 months. But you also need to do a variety of excersises because your body can get used to doing the same old thing every time. and you would burn less calories.

the alternative between Yoga and Pilates relies upon on what you're searching for. in case you like an workout that improves flexibility on an identical time as firming your muscle mass - extraordinarily those abs - then Pilates is probable your greater effective decision. in case you elect to pay interest slightly greater on flexibility and actually much less on firming (possibly you're getting your potential training someplace else), and you're additionally searching for some thing that facilitates cut back stress and components an danger for some quiet time, then you definitely could try Yoga. in case you have good religious convictions, it is likewise possible to be greater effective off with Pilates, notwithstanding many Yoga instructions at the instant grant little or no philosophy and are suitable for all religious persuasions. the two decision is solid - you're improving your physique's wellbeing in a manner no different style of workout can accomplish.

I go to a pilates studio and we train each morning for one hour. You will need to do at least 30 minutes to increase flexibility, body conditioning and get full body benefits. You might want to try yoga . You can get the video tapes also. If you want to loose weight then I suggest jogging. <3

Talk to a pilates teacher.
Its best if you can attend a class and learn the best and correct way to do your practise.
Pilates is powerful but it needs care too.

I did pilates, and it didn't help me lose weight, it just kept me the same weight i was. Pilates doesn't neccessarily help people lose weight, it helps them stand up taller and fix your posture, so you look skinnier. But if you do ones that actually have more than just stretching, those peobably will work.
