God is pure spirit and beyond comprension. Any description of God is not adequate. God transcends human understanding.
That being said many people believe that God has chosen to reveal himself. Usually the idea of God doing something comes first. For example, God creates, God forgives, God saves, God protects. People experience these things and then attribute the human characteristics back to God. Since our language is limited the best descriptions of God fall short.

First of all, what we term as alive is not simply a matter of eating or sleeping. There are many life forms that do not do these things.
Secondly, God does speak. He does have a place to stay in heaven and there are many mansions in it and he has a throne.
Thirdly, Jesus who was God incarnate did all these things (except the sex part).

what does it matter. god is just a label we give to the great unknown. it is an escape route for all the things that go wrong and all the unanswered questions. the only way that god can be alive is if you believe. if you don't believe in god then he is not alive. the simple fact is that the sense of his being alive becomes irrelevant. as long as if that's what you choose to believe in!

The breath of the Holy Spirit is what gives us life and yes they eat in heaven oh and he has many many mansions in his Kingdom i hear him all the time who wants to waist there time sleep that's what the 7th day is for resting it is plain to see you don't know anything about God if you start in Genesis and read on through to the end of Revelation may you will begin to learn.

He's alive in the sense that he is responsible for human creation, the fresh air and the act of breathing itself, changes of the day from dawn to dusk, climatic changes, existence of the sun,the moon, and the planets and other better acts that makes him unique and different from animals that eat, breath &do other such low things.

God is not found in an Embodiment. God is not a human body that needs to eat, breathe, find shelter and sleep. as we believe that when we die our soul, our spirit or the energy inside us leaves the body and becomes free. as the spirit or soul or the energy does not need these things to survive, God is the greatest energy or spirit of All. thus your answer my dear friend

Call me new-agey or whatever, I've studied religions for a number of years (and I used to be a Christian) but I think God is all of us. Seriously, I think our souls are each a part of god and when we pass on, we go back to meet with other souls (other parts of God) in some form. Perhaps we all meet somewhere, kind of like heaven (although I don't have the traditional view of heaven).
I don't believe in religion though, or that you have to believe in a religion.

God does not live, nor has he ever. God is a fictional character created to restore order to society. listen to the "Come Together, by the BEETLES!" this is a song that i think explains what jesus would be like if he were infact real.

why the hell do u consider god as a human? if he has created us then why would you think that the same laws would apply on him, i believe in god as a creator but i dont give a damn about how he looks like or where did he come from, u know if god would show himself then everyone would believe in him and there would be no point in heaven and hell.

I can't speak for all but I can share my own beliefs.
God is within us all and it's up to us if we want him in our lives or if we shut out of our lives.
My circumstances has shown me that he was always there in my life and although I didn't understand what I saw (certain images in which I share with the world as a woman), later in life it showed me it was him there for me all along.
He was my strength, and he loved me when I was alone. I felt it during those times as a child when had no understanding to anything and knew no better than what I was living (actually I was so niave I thought the world lived as I did, I never had TV in my life really to educate me and little education).
As a woman I have had many paranormal experiences which has involved God and I see so much that all I can say is 'I know I am supposed to share for others' and so much of it involves my childhood because it was times of trauma that gave me these images I share.
There come a time in my life there just seemed to be a wake up call, a huge slap in my case but it was when the light turned on within me. I can feel god within me, like he is within all and been blessed for it to have become so obvious to me and lucky to be able to illustrate what I see in my dreams...
I haven't needed a bible although I have one and I haven't needed church, life has done a pretty good job by itself :D:D:D:D
Something just thought and would like to add
I haven't had to see to believe in God, I have followed what I feel.
I have had one particular issue in my life that has been trying to drive me nuts. It was making me my own detective to try and find the culprit behind it. I set up cams, I once was going crazy because of this issue but always felt as if I knew the answer. I had my own thoughts but never listened to my heart that was screaming the answer at me all along
For me, my faith has taught me that I don't always need to see to believe because I should be following my heart. It allowed me to let go of this issue so much that even though it was still going on until recently ( I think it's stopped) I won't allow it to beat me. I KNOW!
Again, kept me strong although another wanted me weak and when I faced this person their reactions showed me, I should have followed my heart, that's what having faith has taught me
