i feel terribly violated.
i specifically..told him not to look at me...and he disobeyed me..and he looked at me....and now i feel violated....

You should definitely be frightened. Not by the dog, but by yourself. You may have serious problems. Get help now (feeling violated after a dog looked at you? come on!)

No you shouldn't be frightened, he isn't doing anything wrong, and why have a dog in the first place. All dogs are going to start at you, maybe he is trying to tell you something, PAY ATTENTION to his movements. I have 2 dogs and they only stare at you if they want food, play, go out. It usually means somethings up.... Peace

haha! Seriously I make my dog not look at me while I'm eating... it drives me nuts! So I use a spray bottle with water in it when she stares. Usually I don't have to spray her, she just pretends to not look at me. But she still does out of the corner of her eye. Or she'll look away, but keep glancing back to see if I'm looking. It's so cute I can't spray her when she does that.
