Frontline and Advantage don't repel fleas - they get on your dog or cat - bite them and die.

If you are still seeing fleas you need to treat your home and your yard.

Unless you take a three pronged approach you will be unlikely to get good control.

1. Treat your pet. You might also consider getting a few capstar from your vet until you get the situation under control.
2. Treat your home. Vaccuum and dispose of the bag outside your home. Spray with a product containing an insect growth regulator - very important - look for IGR on the label. Knockout is a good brand - available at vet. Spray all rooms of your home, just because a dog or cat is not allowed in a certain room does not mean it is flea free! or call an exterminator.
3. Treat your yard. We got some stuff by Bayer at Lowes.

I use Bio Spot which is otc and less expensive than Frontline and Advantage. I haven't seen a flea or tick in over 10 years. I use it on my 3 dogs and on all the rescues that I have had.

Since you probably have fleas in the house now, try vacuuming and then sprinkling the carpet with Twenty Mule Team Borax. The borax in the product will kill the fleas in the carpet. Keep doing this for at least a couple of weeks. It will kill the fleas that are hatching from the eggs also in the carpet.

Are you putting it on correctly??? Those are the kinds the vet sells. Maybe try frontline plus???

Both work fine for me. They have broken the flea and tick cycle I had going for a while. Haven't seen a flea in five years!

If they are not working, go to the vet, they have much better stuff. Cost more, but if your dog is outside a lot, the dog will need it.
