This girl in my office has breasts that I think may be fake. My only interest in knowing is curiosity. If I ask her if she has fake boobs, will it piss her off and create an awkward work environment?

You could be sued for sexual harassment for asking a question about another person's breasts. Asking if a person's boobs have been surgically altered is like asking what color her nipples are - it's none of your damn business!
In a casual circumstance, you might just get slapped. Here, you would probably be fired and sued.

That is really none of your business. How would you feel if your girlfriend /wife had implants and some loser at her workplace inquired about her breasts?

1 : it is impolite. Even if it is true, most women are protective over their grooming habits, etc. We like to keep things secret.
2 : Two words.... Sexual harrassment. I think that part is self explanitory.

A friend's daughter, on a date, fought off her "four handed date" .
When he finally took her home, as she exited the car, she reached in her bosom and handed him two bra pads.

it usually pretty easy to tell if they're fake, just by looking at them...but seeing that your stuck....i would just ask other people if they think so and eventually the answer will get back to you.
