Pimsleur recorded books are also good because, they ae like recorde conversations which you can play on your mp3 player and also on your cd player.

Teach yourself German / Colloquial German, are also good books which could guve you alot of balance to mastering the Language.

Alles Gute!

all i can say is go to half price book store , but either way you learn it ,it will sound like people who come to America and learn English , very proper. also they have words that are female or male lol it can be hard ,So best to find a German who can teach you . They have different dialectics for each state and area, and all sound different. I am currently in Germany and I am learning slowly from Germans , but my husband speaks flaunt and they can not tell he is an American ,because he has a dialectic from the Frankfurt area, and they can tell too, like a southern person can tell someone is from the north. Good luck , choose long ooo goodbye

haha, i took german my entire freshman year. that class was used mostly for talking and note writing. however, i did pick up on some things...

was ist das? = what is that?
das ist alles. = that is all.
hallo! = hello!
meine lieblingsfarbe ist schwarz. = my favorite color is black.

some of that may be spelled wrong. haha, sorry. remember, DO NOT depend on internet translators. they are almost never 100% accurate when typing in a sentence. if you type in one word, you should be fine. however, different countries have different sentence structures.
