Unfortunately, there is no way you can get him to quit yourself. He has to want to quit. You could go to court and have him placed in some rehab. But that could only be a temp solution. Pray for him and ask the Lord to help him. I know what you are going thu cause I had a brother who drank himself to death. There was nothing I could do but stand by and watch him distroy himself. Try going to alanon. They may have some ideas for you......**** luck and God bless you!!!

sorry hun , only you brother can change the drinking habbit, You need to try to convince him he has a problem , Also do a family intervention , all of your family confront him about it , how it is hurting them and how they will cut all ties with him if he dont seek help , you can show him the door but its up to him to walk through it

Bring him to a morgue. Let him see how many people die every day from alcohol.

Let him see what they look like and have the medical examiner describe the painful way they die. It's a slow and very scary death.

That will sober him up. I promise.

Do an intervention. But be prepared that he may not take your advise. If he isn't ready to quit then he's not going to. I suggest that you go to an alanon group. They are everywhere. They are for people who have friends and family that are alcoholics and addicts. Here is there website http://www.al-anon.org/ . Good luck. I know it is hard.
