Warm up Excesses...
OK, Breathing exercises will prepare you to start the warm up exercises.
1. Take a deep breathing, (be sure you are taking the breathing really deep) Feel the muscles on your stomach going out and down. Hold the breath for 5 seconds and then do a long SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS...
Now to control correctly your breathing, put your hand on your stomach, you need to feel the muscles on your stomach coming in an up. Put the Other hand on your chest and be sure that you are not making any pressure on your chest or throat. That long SSSSSSSSSSSSS should sound the same from the Beginning unto the end, Once you control this exercises you will see you will control your breading naturally. Repeat this at least 3 or 4 times. Wait about 5 seconds between each one.
2. OK, now you will take a deep breath again, and hold it for five seconds, and then blow out all your breathing. Feel your stomach is going out and the going in and up, no pressure on your chest.
3. Now You are ready to warm up your vocal chords. Do some lip trills, scales or intervals. Homing's, and long vowels, like A 4 bits, O 4 bits and OO 4 bits in the same note, and go up and down by half tones.
4. Do some stretch exercises to warm up your body too.

You want to do exercises that get your breath control muscles going. My voice teacher would always make me walk around and do deep breathing. My other teacher suggested taking pilates to work the ab muscles. Both really helped for me.
