ANy1 know abt the microchip thing ???
my lost dog was implant with mircochip... saw the movie " firewall" .. can i traces my dog by using that ??? any1 got any idea ?

the microchip is not a gps, this is not the same type of thing you saw on firewall. the microchip will allow a shelter or vet to scan your dog's neck and identify your address, name, contact info etc.

The microchip is not a beacon- if it is scanned by a vet, the police or an animal charity they will contact the microchip company, who will tell you that your dog has been found, if your contact details are up to date. They can't actually track the chip.

Hey hun!! Sorry to hear your pooch is missing! Im not FOR SURE but you should be able to track your pooch by contacting the company/vet that chipped your dog...they have monitoring for this....honetly what would be the point otheriwse?? Get ahold of the company your chip is programmed thru & they should be able to help you!! BEST WISHES!!

oh dear. i can imagine how upset you must be. as far as i am concerned, the microchip nt that powerful yet. ur doggy has to be located first then the microship company can scan it then contact you.

Go call every animal shelter, vet clinic/hospital and tell them your situation.
