Okay hows about this......
What if say instead of worshiping a vauge distant god (of whom no real evidence suggests exists), we worship our selves (humanity as a whole) as god and work on devoloping our own potential???

In reply to all those who requested I read their holy scripture:

I don't not believe I wil find god in a book.

Go out into the world, live your life and you may come to know god......

And untill Jesus Christ himself come and read the bible to me, I'm quite stable in my own beliefs, thank you for caring enough to attempt to assimilate me though.

For all those who are saying "I cant believe you dont think god is real!!!" : I don think god is real; just not your god.... there are plenty of others to pick from.

Lastly, I dont need any source outside of myself to determine my spiritual beliefs.

I used to think the way you do, but there's too much evidence to support that God exists. I could go into all of the science, like how is it we are in just the right place in the galaxy for our planet to support life and have a clear view of the rest of the universe, or how is it that the Bible stated that God said to Adam and Eve that they could only eat plants from the Garden, and after the Flood tell Noah that he can eat meat, while science proves thru our blood types that humans ate plants first, then became meat eaters later. I would rather have you read it for yourself. I included a list of books so you don't think I'm just filling this space full of lies, including a book that has nothing to do with Christianity, but has some really cool facts about our blood types. And being a Christian doesn't mean that you have to be some pushover prissy girl of a man. That's what the school of thought has been leading to because more women attend church than men. The real Jesus isn't the bearded lady that people these days make him out to be. If you read the Bible you'll see that Jesus was sarcastic, had a temper and was very intimidating. His own followers were afraid of him at times because he spoke his mind and wasn't afraid of anyone. You can disagree with what I say, but at least read a book or two that I recommend, so you can tell everyone that you did your research to come to your opinion, instead of basing it off someone else who was too lazy to try and find the truth for himself.

I can tell you why I believe in Christianity and that's because I believe in Jesus, the head of it, and He's still alive! There are many things wrong with the way some men interpret the Bible, Christ's teachings, and Christianity itself, but that does nothing to detract from the person of Jesus himself. Forget all the phonies, there are some true Christians and there is definitely a real Jesus, and if you are truly looking for an answer to your question, you should really read the new testament just to pick up on who Jesus was (and is) before you pass any judgements. Also.... just ask him to show you that he is real in some way that will make sense to you personally... God is Love and he loves you enough to prove himself to you if you ask. If you ask in truth. Ask and it shall be given you, Seek and you shall find, Knock and it will be opened to you. Then maybe you too will be one of those people you wondered about...

it isn't only scientists who've anticipated the doomsday. non secular people of diverse faiths and backgrounds actually have self belief similar. not purely that yet we've a good number of people who're religiously susceptible and yet are theists. So, you do not should be a scientist to say there isn't any God. Infact, many atheists at the prompt are not scientists yet even if I favor to characteristic that throughout the time of all the scripture books there is sufficient information to point the actual undeniable actuality that the international is steadily grinding to a supply up. even if, no human being can tell even as it may ensue. The writing is, even if, on the wall the actual undeniable actuality that the 5 factors specifically:air, water, earth, hearth and ether have all alongside been rehearsing their techniques in route of the superb day.in basic terms take a go searching you and it really is sparkling that organic mess united stateshave had a field day. those are signs and indicators of the doomsday.it really is lurking on the nook and able to strike on the least chance.

Simple. Some Christians believe in science as well, (like myself) and have had it proven time and time again. But I have no respect for most televangelists. Most of them are in it for the money. I don't go to church for that reason.
May I recommend a book to you? I'm not trying to pressure you, I'm just asking you to open your mind to other possibilites. The book was written by a man who had doubts in the existence of any kind of God, and also thought Christianity was a bunch of bullsh1t. So, he went out to disprove it, and wrote a book about it. The book is called "Evidence That Demands a Verdict." Don't ask me who it's by (I can't remember stuff like that, I read all the time), but I know Amazon has it. So check it out.
Above all, research, research, research. Read everything you can get your hands on about ALL religions. Especially if they're secular sources, and not the "holy texts" themselves. That's what I did.
Whatever you do, please don't hold all people of any faith accountable for the actions of a few. It makes more sense when you research it, really it does.

There's all sorts of folks, both "in" Christianity and of course, from the worldly godless system.

Just to answer a few of your points..

Some scientists have stated that looking at our own human genetic code, - it appears that the variances (or lack thereof) point to a very small group of human ancestry. Humanity did come from 2 people, or for that matter 8 with Noah and his sons.

Televangelists hi-jacked the commercialism and money making techniques of Hollywood. It has more to do with Hollywood and theatre productions and MONEY that it does with preaching and teaching the word-of-God. Don't blame Christianity for this one, - blame greed and Hollywood.

Faith healings? snakes?? yep.. it's in the Bible somewhere !! Ya gotta love those folks for doing MORE than just reading the Bible and going to church Sunday mornings. Not that I'd do it, but hey, - it's America !!.. a little thing called freedom to believe, - or not believe as is the case.

Generally speaking, people are meek. They need something to hold onto that: 1. Projects political correctness. 2. Can be credited for life's positive events. 3. Allows for fraternal-like gatherings. 4. Induces feelings of superiority over others with distinct beliefs.

In short, all religion is a CRUTCH for our dilapidated human race. Man needs something to believe in. Somehow it has been forgotten that it is not at all a foreign concept for Man to believe in himself. Strength comes from within.

When I hit a home run, it wasn't because god created me and gave me the physical ability to do so but rather my own hard work ethic and ability to swing a bat fast enough to hit a sphere being hurled in my direction at 98 miles per hour. I don't remember any god hanging around the gym and busting his ass along side me then, and I don't see him around now. Maybe he is advising the President on the situation in Lebanon.

Be strong.

I would be terrified to NOT believe. The book of Revelations is on the daily news! Israel and Lebanon, U.S. and Iraq---today's news is in the Bible, and if you notice any Christians disappear? Jesus came to get us. Then there will be 7 years of a terrible time on earth. Read it! it's amazing. I know of maybe 2 churches in the world that do the snake thing. Get real! Please don't go to Hell when you die. Christians are not perfect, but we are forgiven and are trying hard to do good. God is very real, unfortunately so is the Devil. Can't you sense it deep within?

Well. at least you're correct on the "creepy televangelist" thing. I am a Christian, and I think televagelists are full of it, and in it for money and giving Christianity a bad name.
And no, humanity didn't come from two people. God created the races before he created Adam and Eve. Go back and read Genesis, he created mankind on the 6th day and told them to "replenish" the earth and multiply. He of course then rested on the 7th day, then after resting, he created Adam and Eve on the 8th day. Through the generations of Adam and Eve, Christ would be born. It's in simple, chronological order. It's your choice "not" to believe, but it's there.

In the Christian faith, you are considered lost. You are lost because you are blinded to the truth!

Take a good look at the things around you. Take a look at your own body. You have faith that everything came by chance and you were evolved from monkeys? Boy, that really takes alot of faith to believe that.

In fact you have to have higher faith in not believing in GOD than believing in GOD.

If all living creatures were really evolved rather than created by GOD, then take the case of the simple frog. There must first be a pond. Then great chance must happen to evolve one male frog. Then great chance must take place to also evolve one female frog. And all these great evolution must take place in the same pond! Not one pond in Spore and one pond in Africa! Boy, if you can swallow this, you have far greater faith than a believer of Jesus!

The Bible doesn't say humanity came from two people.
watching televangelists with creepy snakes has nothing to do with the Book.
read the Book yourself and find out. making the touchtone of Christianity things you already know are ridiculous doesn't give you or the Book a chance to get to know one another.
