Why is it every close season the tabloids - and the Daily Record in particular - crank up the Rangers propaganda? You know the usual stuff...any young guy they're going to sign is potentially the best in the world and every player on the continent is just dying for a move to Ibrox.

Of course the sub-plot to all this is that Rangers are going to wipe the floor with the opposition next season. Happened last time, didn't it.

Just about every tabloid journalist and columnist tipped Rangers to win the title last season and we were told Fanfan and Nieto were the greatest things to hit Scottish football.

This close season we're being hyped into believing that Paul Le Guen is the business and a new era of Ibrox dominance is imminent.

So obviously the league is already won.

Yeah obviously, every player that signs for the Gers is a saviour and is the next big thing in European Football.

Paul Le Guen is French, he doesn't know a thing about scottish football.

and tell me how many players on rangers squad this season are actually scottish? Chris Burke? is that IT?

Glasgow is the largest city of Scotland, Gers have the stupidest fans and since stupids read tabloids, they find increased sales by hyping Gers. Makes sense, doesn't it.
