i dont understand who r fighting who? and what over is this part of the end times?

Israel started fighting (this time) against the Palestinians after they kidnapped one of their soldiers. Then, for some stupid reason (I guess to start a war) terrorists in Lebanon (to the north of Israel) kidnapped 2 of Israel's soldiers. These Muslims knew what they were doing. Israel has a policy like we do in America. We don't abandon our soldiers. Israel will not stop fighting until they get the soldiers back. And the Muslim's will not give them back...so it appears to me the Muslim's wanted this war. (Yes, I believe it is part of the end times)>>>>

In short, Israel is fighting a terrorist group called hezbollah which resides in lebanon. They have a big army, so big that the lebanese government has said that they aren't willing or able to control them. Hezbollah has been killing israelis for a long time, but the new israeli PM, Olmert, said enough is enough. After their latest attacks and kidnappings, Olmert is trying to dismantle hezbollah since the lebanese won't. It's unfortunate for the lebanese that they have terrorists living amongst them (though MANY lebanese civilians support hezbollah) as that means the fight will be in their country. However, Israel dropped leaflets warning civilians to leave b/c they planned on bombing. Many left; many didn't. Its unfortunate, but of those who stayed there have been casualties.
When the kidnapped soldiers are returned and hezbollah truly dismantled, this whole thing will end.
Nobody wants this war, not the israelis and not the lebanese. But israel just cant have a militant army attacking them from their neighboring countries.

Basically, Arabs and Persians around the middle east believe it is their God given right to exterminate Israel from existence. Israel doesn't want to be exterminated and are pro-active in making sure it never happens. You take out their eye; they take off your head. You hit them, they hit you back harder. They're dealing with fanatics who want them dead. You can't reason with fanatics; you merely exterminate them. Israel is quite good at that. Presently two Israeli soldiers were captured and are held prisoner. That has fueled this massive Israeli attack in Lebanon. As for it being the end, well, every generation sees things they interpret to mean the end of the world. Regardless, the world keeps going. According to all sources, our world will one day be under a one world government. To accomplish this, a worldwide famine will be created to control the people, and a world wide Economic collapse will be created to transfer the money to the elite. Already GE foods are being introduced. Not hard to see that this creates a monopoly over food. It is also not hard to see how man, messing with the Eco system, could damage it in his arrogance and stupidity and incredible greed. You think this is a fairy tale? Just read some of the position papers coming out of the UN. Oh, and the occult will make a strong comeback. It always does in times of evil, like when Hitler was in power. When it all gets here, and man is busy destroying the earth, that would be a really good indicator that the end is near. Until then, don't worry about it. Smile.

Israel and America are the tools Satan use to corrupt the world, but soon as both the Bible and the holy Quran tell us they will be defeated and then the world will be better place for humans. Is there any human here who watches the corruption and destruction both are spreading in the world will support them? Those are the fuel of hellfire for ever. it is wrong in this day and age there shouldn't be any wars, but if you are provoked into something then use diplomacy to achieve results. but if you go into a country and start blowing up there infrastructure etc... they will retaliate. the war is unfair the Lebanese people are not allowed to protect themselves by proper armed forces (war planes, tanks etc) because the others don't like it, they want to be seen as strong aggressers so that no country will question their actions.

If these countries had ways of defending themselves then what is happening today would not have happened.

The fighting should stop immediately, only the innocent are being killed on both sides

Israel is fighting Hezbollah, which is a extremist Muslim group. They are located in Lebanon and Syria, and Israel is attacking positions in Lebanon. The Lebanese government is allowing this terrorist group to exist and flourish. So Israel is defending itself.

The Bible states that Israel will be attacked and surrounded by its enemies, which it is. This is all apart of prophecy.

The Israelis are bombing a group called Hezbollah (sp?), who happen to be operating out of a country called Lebanon, which borders Israel,...and they're also bombing a bunch of civilians who happened to "be in the way".
